As a Hair Stylist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the beauty and confidence of our clients through exceptional hair care services. Hairspace differs from others salons where we provide a very intimate personalized experience for our clients. You will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity and expertise while providing personalized consultations and styling solutions. Our salon fosters a supportive environment where you can grow your skills and build lasting relationships with clients. Having a base clientele is required to start. Duties Provide a range of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments tailored to individual client needs. Conduct thorough consultations to understand client preferences and recommend suitable styles or treatments. Stay updated on the latest trends in hair fashion and techniques to deliver innovative services. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salon workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized. Assist with front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, managing client records, and processing payments. Mentor junior stylists or apprentices by sharing knowledge and best practices in hair care techniques. Promote salon products and services to clients, utilizing retail math skills to manage inventory effectively. Utilize salon software for appointment management, client tracking, and sales reporting. Skills Proficient in cosmetology with a strong understanding of color theory and application techniques. Experience in nail care, makeup application, and hair extensions is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and understand their needs. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Familiarity with salon software for efficient appointment scheduling and client management. Retail math skills for managing product sales and inventory levels. Excellent mentoring abilities to guide less experienced staff in developing their skills.
