The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various cosmetology techniques and a commitment to educating the next generation of beauty professionals. This role involves teaching students in a classroom setting, providing hands-on training, and fostering a positive learning environment that encourages creativity and skill development. Responsibilities Educate students on a wide range of cosmetology topics including hair coloring, hair extensions, makeup application, hair threading, barbering, and aesthetic treatments. Develop and implement lesson plans that meet educational standards and cater to diverse learning styles. Conduct practical demonstrations and hands-on training sessions to enhance student learning experiences. Assess student progress through evaluations, feedback, and practical examinations. Maintain an organized classroom environment that promotes safety and professionalism. Stay updated with the latest trends and techniques in the cosmetology field to provide relevant instruction. Encourage student engagement through interactive discussions and collaborative projects. Experience Proven experience in adult education or teaching within a cosmetology program is preferred. Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts in an understandable manner. A valid cosmetology instructor license is required; additional certifications in specialized areas are a plus. Previous experience working in a salon or spa environment is beneficial to provide real-world insights to students.
