Duties Provide a range of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and hair threading. Utilize straight razors and other tools effectively while adhering to safety protocols. Engage with clients to understand their hair care needs and recommend appropriate services and products. Upsell retail products based on client needs, utilizing retail sales techniques and knowledge of retail math. Maintain accurate records using salon software for appointments, services rendered, and product sales. Ensure the salon environment is clean, organized, and welcoming for clients. Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and products to provide the best service possible. Collaborate with team members to create a positive salon atmosphere. Qualifications Valid cosmetology or barbering license as required by state regulations. Proven experience in hair styling with a strong portfolio showcasing your work. Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with clients effectively. Experience in upselling products and services within a retail environment is preferred. Familiarity with salon software systems for appointment scheduling and inventory management. Knowledge of retail math to assist in managing product sales effectively. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to providing high-quality service. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
