Hairstylist/Cosmetologist Diamond Unisex Beauty Salon 4022 Bergenline Avenue, Union City, NJ 07087 Job Summary We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in hair care, styling, and customer service, with the ability to create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for our clients. As a Hair Stylist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality hair services while also promoting salon products and services. Duties Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, coloring, and styling to meet client needs. Utilize knowledge of color theory to provide clients with the best color options for their hair type and desired look. Apply makeup and offer eyelash extension services as requested by clients. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences and provide personalized recommendations. Upsell salon products and services to enhance client satisfaction and boost retail sales. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Mentor junior stylists or trainees by sharing expertise and best practices in hair care techniques. Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and new products to continually improve skills. Qualifications Proven experience as a Hair Stylist or in a similar role within the beauty industry. Proficiency in salon software for appointment scheduling and client management. Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients. Knowledge of barbering techniques is a plus. Experience in makeup application is desirable. Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining genuine client relationships. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal. A valid cosmetology license is required.
