NOTICE OF VACANCY POSITION
POTENTIAL Cosmetology Teacher
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Lawrence County Career and Technical Center is seeking a passionate and highly skilled Cosmetology Teacher to join our dedicated team for the upcoming academic year. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive instruction in all facets of cosmetology to students in grades 10-12, preparing them for successful careers in the beauty industry and for licensure in Pennsylvania.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid and current Pennsylvania Cosmetology License
- Minimum of 4 years of recent, verifiable experience as a licensed cosmetologist in a salon or spa setting
- Current or eligible for a Pennsylvania Vocational Instructional Certificate in Cosmetology (12.0401 for Cosmetology/Cosmetologist General) Strong knowledge of current cosmetology techniques, products, and industry trends
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Experience mentoring or training junior stylists/apprentices is a plus
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred
