Full-Time Position Summary:

Genesis Career College is seeking a passionate and experienced Cosmetology Instructor to join our team in Cookeville, TN. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to student success, possess strong communication skills, and bring real-world salon experience into the classroom. This role is responsible for delivering engaging instruction, mentoring students, and preparing them for licensure and successful careers in the beauty industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver curriculum in accordance with state regulations and school standards. Provide hands-on instruction in hair, skin, and nail care techniques. Monitor and evaluate student progress through practical and theoretical assessments. Maintain accurate student records including attendance, grades, and evaluations. Foster a positive and professional learning environment. Stay current with industry trends and continuing education requirements. Participate in faculty meetings, training sessions, and school events. Ensure compliance with all state board and accreditation requirements.

Qualifications:

Current Tennessee Cosmetology Instructor License (required). Minimum of 3 years of professional cosmetology experience. Prior teaching or training experience preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to motivate and inspire students. Proficient in classroom management and student engagement.

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (may vary slightly based on class schedules).

Job Types:

Full-time, Part-time Pay:

$20.00 – $23.00 per hour
