Lucky Puppy Nail Specialists are trained professionals looking to create a better experience for all animals and their owners when it comes to nail care.

Position Description:

Title:

Apprentice We perform nail shortening services, among other specialties. We are trained in using Lucky Puppy tools, hammocks, straps, and other necessary equipment. We have extensive time observing, assisting, and learning the proper techniques from an expert technician.

MAIN PURPOSE

Provides a safe alternative to nail clipping using Lucky Puppy equipment and training. They are the senior employees and are expected to have knowledge of all positions in the shop.

Additional Responsibilities & Expectations:

Greet customers. Reading the room & determining what the DOG needs Use time management skills to maintain appropriate appointment time. Use our scheduling software. Create invoices and tickets. Be responsible to handle and count money. Check clients in via Rosy Salon. Answer phone calls. Assist other technicians when available. Assist receptionist in closing out tickets. Keep rooms tidy and organized in between clients. Manage sanitizing rooms after unique situations (Fleas, Bathroom accidents, Fungal infections). Updating clients’ notes. Going over daily appointments and making sure appropriate dogs have proper assistance.

Qualifications:

Ability to work effectively, independently, and in a team; in an atmosphere of multiple projects and shifting priorities, as well as the ability to be flexible, detail-oriented, and prioritize. Excellent interpersonal skills w/ client service orientation. Ability to communicate effectively, courteously, and professionally. The ability to self-motivate and self-start. Computer and internet literacy is required. Flexible mindset as you learn our revolutionary business model.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

THIS IS A VERY PHYSICALLY DEMANDING CAREER!

Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted regularly, 50+ pounds assisted. Ability to be comfortable working w/ cats, dogs, and small animals. Ability to perform physical activity on a daily basis, including lifting, carrying, reaching, stooping, squatting, standing, and bending. All prospective employees are subject to a 4-hour working interview as well as a background check, interview with former employers, and reference checks. Lucky Puppy is a drug-free workplace. Maintain safe animal handling techniques by Lucky Puppy standards. Assist our trained technicians in completing services. Cleaning and maintenance responsibilities of equipment, service rooms, and show floor. (Cleaning, laundry, stock, and inventory) Assist clients with their pets in and out of our shop. Assist clients with our state-of-the-art DIY Dog Wash Stations. Open and Closing duties.

Hours & Compensation:

Must have open availability, including weekends and holidays, when requested. Full Time and Part-Time positions are available. Compensation is to be discussed during the interview process.
