Pet Spa Associate Jennys groom room 1314 W Thomas St, Hammond, LA 70401 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Bather to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent grooming services to pets, ensuring their cleanliness and comfort. This role requires a love for animals, attention to detail, and the ability to handle various breeds of dogs and other pets. As a Pet Bather, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the health and well-being of our furry clients. Responsibilities Bathe, dry, and groom pets according to breed standards and client preferences. Handle animals with care and compassion, ensuring their comfort throughout the bathing process. Maintain cleanliness in the bathing area and grooming equipment. Assist with brushing, nail trimming, and ear cleaning as needed. Monitor pets for any signs of health issues or discomfort during grooming sessions. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pet’s needs and any observations made during grooming. Support overall animal care within the facility by assisting in kennel duties when necessary. Experience Previous experience in animal handling or pet care is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Skills in dog training, veterinary assistance, or pet grooming are highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for larger breeds or equipment. Familiarity with animal behavior and care practices is a plus. A passion for working with animals and providing exceptional care is essential for success in this role.
