This role is essential in providing support during challenging times for families in need of funeral services. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of skills in assisting with funeral services, and event planning, along with a strong commitment to bereavement support. This position requires an individual who can handle heavy lifting and is comfortable working in a sensitive environment. Responsibilities Assist with removal of the deceased from place of death. Must be able to lift 75-100 pounds and navigate confined spaces and stairs. Provide bereavement support to families, offering guidance and empathy during their time of loss. Collaborate with team members to coordinate logistics for events, including setup and breakdown. Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions, utilizing sales skills to promote services. Perform heavy lifting as required for transporting caskets and other materials. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Experience Previous experience in funeral directing or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to be on call to assist with after hours removals. Experience in event planning is advantageous, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Comfort with heavy lifting and physical demands associated with the role. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
