Modern office setting On-the-job training Relaxed atmosphere Safe work environment Growth opportunities Aikens Funeral Home is currently seeking a mature, detail oriented, self-starter to fill the position of Case Manager . The Case Manager must be compassionate, sympathetic, comfortable working (indirectly) around human remains, empathetic working with people grieving from the loss of their loved ones and possess great communication skills. The Case Manager is responsible for and performs the overall administrative functions of the funeral home. This person will coordinate the activities of other full time Case Managers and report directly to Licensed Funeral Directors and the funeral home’s management team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Typing Newspaper Notices, Funeral Programs, Website Entries, Insurance claim forms, funeral schedules, and other death care related documents Ensure the accurate completion and electronic entry of death certificate information and other vital documentation Place orders with third party agencies and vendors in support of client family wishes. Coordinate with cemeteries, physicians, florists, merchandise and supply companies, printers and other agencies in support of funeral home operations. Receive and meet with client families, potential client families, office visitors, sales representatives and others. Answer incoming phone calls, gather, document and disseminate essential information to the appropriate staff members in a timely manner. Answer telephone calls and provide relevant information and direct calls to the appropriate recipient. Assist in the professional development of subordinate team members Responsible for funeral home logistical operations, including the ordering and accountability of office supplies and equipment General office duties such as filing, faxing, scanning, etc. Maintain and update client database as necessary Receive and distribute all incoming mail and shipments Receive, inventory and safeguard clothing items received from client families for their deceased loved ones Assist in the preparation of varios video tribute presentations

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience:

Minimum 2 years administrative assistance experience

Certification/Licenses:

Must possess a valid State of Florida Driver’s License and a great driving record

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Must possess good communication skills ; basic knowledge of computers and some software including MS Office suite; ability to prioritize tasks, manage risks and delegate responsibly; must pay strict attention to detail

Other Requirements:

Available for flexible scheduling, to include working weekends and evenings
