Funeral Director/Manager Monroe Mortuary Services Polkton, NC 28135 Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Funeral Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding families through the funeral process, ensuring that all services are conducted with dignity and respect. This role requires a blend of emotional intelligence, organizational skills, and knowledge of funeral practices. The Funeral Director will play a crucial role in providing bereavement support and helping families honor their loved ones. Duties Coordinate and oversee all aspects of funeral services, including event planning and logistics. Provide exceptional customer service to grieving families, addressing their needs with empathy and professionalism. Prepare the deceased for viewing by performing necessary tasks such as sanitizing, cosmetology, and dressing. Conduct funerals in accordance with the wishes of the deceased’s family while adhering to legal requirements. Assist families with necessary paperwork, including death certificates and insurance claims. Offer bereavement support to families before, during, and after the funeral service. Maintain knowledge of physiology to ensure proper handling of remains. Engage in sales activities related to funeral services, merchandise, and pre-planning options. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in funeral directing. Skills Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with grieving families. Event planning expertise to organize meaningful services that reflect the wishes of the deceased’s family. Understanding of physiology to ensure respectful handling of remains.
