Licensed Funeral Director Castiglia Funeral Home, Inc. & Erie County Cremation Service 873 Abbott Road, Buffalo, NY 14220 Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Funeral Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of the funeral service profession, providing support and guidance to families during their time of loss. Qualified applicants will hold and maintain a New York State Funeral Director’s License that is valid and maintain a valid New York State Driver’s License Possess necessary licensure or other certification to meet local or state legal requirements in order to perform the functions of a Funeral Director Possess and maintain necessary licensure or certification to meet local, state, and federal legal requirements to perform the function of embalming Responsibilities Depending on the needs of our funeral home, our funeral directors participate in making removals, help families make arrangements, engage in decedent care and preparation, supervise visitations and direct services. Our funeral directors also rotate evening/night on-call. Successful team members are great communicators and treat families, decedents, colleagues and members of the community with dignity and respect. We expect everyone on our team to work in a safe and organized manner, to follow state and local regulations as well as company policies. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required in handling caskets and transporting remains. Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on empathy and compassion.
