Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and dedication to quality contribute to the comfort and well-being of our residents and the smooth operation of our facility.
Laundry Aide Responsibilities:
Linen Management:
Collect soiled linens and clothing from resident rooms, common areas, and other designated areas, and transport them to the laundry room for processing.
Sorting and Washing:
Sort soiled linens by type and color, load them into washers, and select appropriate wash cycles and detergent according to fabric type and facility protocols.
Drying and Folding:
Transfer clean linens to dryers, monitor drying cycles to ensure proper drying temperatures and times, and fold or hang linens neatly for storage or distribution.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to established safety procedures and infection control protocols, including proper handling of soiled linens and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
Laundry Aide Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Knowledge of laundry equipment operation, garment care techniques, and stain removal methods. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry laundry bags and operate laundry equipment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
