Laundry Attendant Heardmont Nursing Home and Rehab 1043 Longstreet Rd, Elberton, GA 30635 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens and garments within our establishment. This position is essential for ensuring that all laundry items are laundered, dry cleaned, and returned in pristine condition to meet our high standards of service, particularly in a hotel environment. Duties Launder and dry various types of fabrics, including linens, towels, and resident clothing. Operate washing machines, and dryers safely and efficiently. Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store laundry items according to established procedures. Inspect items for stains or damage prior to laundering and report any issues to management. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area to promote a safe working environment. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of laundry tasks. Experience Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is preferred but not required. Familiarity with laundering techniques and fabric care labels is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. A commitment to providing excellent service in alignment with hotel standards.
