He or she supplies Room Attendants with all linen items that are required for the convenience and comfort of the guest. All functions are carried out to maintain an environment of cleanliness, teamwork and first class customer service. The Laundry Attendant candidate we are searching out has a warm and friendly personality that puts our fellow team members at ease and sets expectations of excellence in the cleanliness of all hotel linens. This is an essential position to keeping up with guests checking out and quickly checking in. This position works either alone on slower days, or with an additional personnel for busier days. We are looking for someone who is a team player and can keep up with the demand to ensure the housekeepers can get clean linen for their job duties. Some weekend availability is a must. We are very flexible with start-time to meet any specific needs but must be a set schedule and between 7am-10am as a start-time. End time must correlate. The ideal Laundry Attendant candidate has a high school diploma/GED (on-the-job training and experience combination may substitute for education requirement), prior hotel/cleaning experience, an ability to lift 25-30 pounds, be able to stand for long periods of time, and is willing/able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. The following is a representative list of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position:

  • Smile when on-stage.
  • Provides clean linen for Room Attendants and anything necessary for Food and Beverage.
  • Separates linen according to classification, fabric and color.
  • Operates washers and dryers as per established procedures.
  • Folds, stacks, hangs and stores all laundered linen.
  • Separates, counts and records damaged linen and places it in designated area.
  • Turns in all lost and found articles immediately.
  • Reports equipment malfunctions promptly to the supervisor.
  • Keeps supplies and storage area orderly at all times.
  • Maintains par stock of laundry and cleaning supplies-informs housekeeper of supplies needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.
