Linen Tech – PT (8:00am-4:00pm) CMC Position Available In [Unknown county], New Jersey

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Part-Time Linen Tech (Environmental Services) at Chilton Medical Center.

Required hours are:

8:00AM-4:00PM including weekends. Starting rate $18.50/hr.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

+ Washes, dries, irons, and folds linen and uniforms as required. + Inspects and sorts linen as it is received from laundry and records and returns rejects to laundry. + Removes clean linen from laundry carts and places in designated areas. + Loads carts for delivery. + Removes soiled linen from patient floors. + Informs Environmental Services Supervisor on any damaged or missing linen from laundry. + Delivers linens to all user locations. + Sets up charts for housekeeping schedules, and carts daily as needed. + Maintains log for linen closets, documenting unused linen and reporting any apparent discrepancy between established standards and actual usage. + Maintains linen room in a clean and orderly condition. + Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

+ HS Diploma or GED/Equivalent required. + To provide a safe environment to our patients, we require that all candidates must be able to read, write and speak English. + Must be able to bend/push/pull/lift 50lbs.

Relevant Experience:

+ 1-3 years’ experience as Linen Tech or relevant area preferred. + Prior experience working in a Health Care Facility, Hospital System or relevant area preferred.
