Chemung County Nursing Facility Seeking Per Diem Laundry Aide.

Every Other Weekend Required Salary:
$16.31/hour
Permanent Per Diem Job Description:
This position is responsible for performing routine labor in the laundry department of a nursing facility. Work involves the routine operation of laundry equipment including washer/ extractors, dryers, extractor, labeling machine and sewing machine in accordance with well defined policy and procedure. Duties include laundering, drying and folding of soiled linens and personal clothing belonging to nursing home patients. Work requires understanding of and skill in laundry sanitation, machine operation, and handling of chemical supplies, but does not require the exercise of professional judgment. Assignments are given specifically and supervised closely by the laundry supervisor. Does related work as required.
