Linen Supervisor Express Employment Professionals Nashville, TN 37228 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of laundry operations within our facility. This position requires a strong commitment to quality service and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience in managing commercial cleaning, hospitality, or custodial services is required, as you will be responsible for ensuring that all linens and garments are laundered to the highest standards. Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order. Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies, shipment, and deliveries. Assist in training new staff members on laundry procedures and safety protocols. Supervise and inspect daily laundry operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to quality standards. Collaborate with hospital management to meet the needs of guests and maintain high levels of service. Operate washing machines and dryers according to established procedures for various types of fabrics. Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron linens and garments as per hospital or facility standards. Requirements 2+ years of experience in a laundry or housekeeping role within a hotel, hospital, linen company setting is preferred. Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and equipment operation. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Ability to maintain productive working relationship with other department supervisors. Coordinate linen services to assure that care and services are performed without interruption. Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting heavy loads and standing for extended periods. Good knowledge of OSHA and Public Health guidelines for universal precautions and infection control. Business management related degree preferred but not required.
