Smoky Mountain Helath and Rehab is a compassionate and dedicated long-term care facility committed to providing high-quality care to our residents. We are currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laundry Aide to join our team and help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect, sort, and wash soiled laundry, linens, and resident clothing. Dry, fold, and organize clean laundry efficiently and properly. Distribute clean laundry to appropriate areas and/or residents’ rooms. Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely. Ensure laundry room and equipment are clean and well-maintained. Follow proper infection control and safety protocols. Handle resident clothing with care, ensuring items are not damaged or misplaced.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous laundry or housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting is a plus. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Friendly and respectful demeanor when interacting with residents and staff.
