- To perform janitorial and industrial laundry services and other duties as directed
- ROLES and
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform general cleaning work on floors, walls, windows, furniture, stairways, locker rooms, restrooms, and elevators
- Perform sanitation duties in Cafeteria as required
- Move trash and rejected products to designated disposal areas
- Remove snow and debris from sidewalks, parking lots, and driveways as needed
- Provide escort services to contract workers/suppliers when appropriate
- Move and rearrange office furniture/equipment as needed
- Perform periodic preventive maintenance on all equipment Building Services Department is responsible to maintain
- Provide laundry services for company provided uniforms, industrial cleaning cloths and mop heads including collect, sort, wash, dry and fold and deliver clean items to appropriate storage area
- Observe and comply with all plant rules including safety, cGMPs, and DOPs
- Perform all duties mindful of personal and fellow associates’ safety
- Maintain contract pest control records in accordance with permit and procedures
- Maintain contract waste disposal records in accordance with permit and procedures
- Perform errands on and off-site for the Maintenance Department as requested by Manager
- Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.## 1)Accountability (

- 2)•Complexity •(Level of Decision Making and Independent Analysis)•Reports must be accurate, complete and legible to meet regulatory requirements•Must take the initiative to contact pest control, start snow removal, schedule compactor service, and see that the routine functions of an absent associate are handled•Will perform laundry functions on a regular schedule to ensure availability of clean uniforms for associates•Must be able to work in a team environment, offering assistance when necessary and filling in for absent associates where and when needed•Responsible to keep building services and laundry equipment in top condition•Timely completion of assigned work orders and entry in
SAP.QUALIFICATIONS
- EDUCATION, WORK
EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Two years experience as a janitor
- Two years experience as a laundry technician
- Must not be allergic to cleaning fluids or penicillin.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Ability to operate authorized equipment (floor scrubbers, pressure washers, fork trucks, industrial washer/dryer units etc.) in a manner that does not jeopardize the safety of associates or the equipment
- Must be knowledgeable of the departmental routines in order to assist when necessary
- Must be able to collect, wash, dry, fold and pack laundered items and deliver to appropriate site storage area
- Ability to sort, count and record laundry items as required by department supervisor
- Ability to read, understand, and follow cGMPs and all safety protocols
- Demonstrated ability to perform routine janitorial assignments with limited supervision
- Ability to work in a team environment or independently to complete assigned tasks
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions to ensure that all tasks are performed safely and timely
- Mobility to stand, bend, squat, walk, climb stairs and ladders to perform func ions of the job to include cleaning and sanitation of facility and cleaning equipment
- Above average physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive motions including pushing and pulling to complete job tasks
- Must be able to complete multiple activities that require ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and up to 100 lbs. with assistance
- Must follow and comply with all universal precautions in performing all janitorial tasks.
