- PT Part Time Part-time % Minimum Salary $35/hour Maximum Salary $35/hour Description The School of Art+Design at Purchase College is accepting applications to develop a pool of qualified candidates for a part-time, non-permanent Figure Model position. Hours may range from 4
- 16 hours a week depending on course offerings and individual availability. Classes held during business hours Monday
- Friday, 8:30
- 12:20, 12:30
- 4:20, and 4:30
- 8:20, with occasional exceptions.
No weekend classes. $35/hour. Most sessions will require the model to be nude, with a few exceptions.
Duties:
Pose for drawing, painting, and sculpture studio classes Be able to provide a full range of traditional life drawing poses, from gestures to sustained poses, as required by tradition and the instructor Demonstrate the flexibility and animation of the human form Models are expected to pose nude unless otherwise noted and must provide their own robe/covering to easily uncover and re-cover themselves Candidates will be required to submit the following documents: resume, list of references, and a statement conveying their experience and intentions submitted as “Other Document 1” Applications will be reviewed until position is filled. Qualifications Previous experience as a figure model
- dance or yoga experience may be considered Knowledge of traditional figure model poses and the capacity to execute them The ability to perform assigned duties by the course instructor Special Note Nondiscrimination Policy
