POSITION SUMMARY

Shift hours are 11pm to 7am. Candidate is required to act as Night Manager any day of the week including public holidays. Complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system. Completion of Daily Revenue Reports nightly to break out the day’s revenue accurately for management and ownership. Review shift logs/daily memo books and document pertinent information in logbooks. Contact appropriate individual or department (e.g., Front Office, Housekeeping) as necessary to resolve guest call, request, or problem. Process all guest check-ins by confirming reservations in computer system, verifying guest identity, requesting form of payment, assigning room, and activating and issuing room key. Sell a room/accommodation to guests without reservations based on availability. Ensure rates match market codes and that any exceptions are documented. Ensure checks that come from outlets (e.g., Restaurant, Health Club, Retail Shop) are scanned and charged to room.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess basic computer skills, i.e., Microsoft Word and Excel, Internet Explorer, etc. High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position in a full-service hotel. Prior experience in Marriott Hotels or full-service hotel brand will be helpful. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; and complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all associates and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of all. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards of Stamford Marriott.
