Assistant Spa Manager 2.3 2.3 out of 5 stars 3003 Brownwood Boulevard, The Villages, FL 32163 Come Join our Team at The Brownwood Hotel & Spa and be a part of our story! We are a luxury AAA Four Diamond Property located in The Villages, FL and we are seeking an Assistant Spa Manager for our Luxury Spa. SUMMARY Within the spirit of “Making People’s Dreams Come True”, The Assistant Spa Manager will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of hotel spa for The Brownwood Hotel & Spa. This Assistant Manager role provides the highest level of service to our spa associates and is responsible for maintaining guest satisfaction and spa operations at a luxury level hotel environment.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
- One year of previous spa experience
- Licensed for Cosmetology- Nail Tech and/or Massage Therapist is highly preferred
- Varied knowledge in all spa services
- Prior experience working with a Point of Sale system (Book4Time).
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, handle pressure well, self-motivated, adaptable to change and very detail oriented.
- Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer service skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide assistance to Spa Manager as required and needed. Perform MOD duties in the absence of the Manager. Oversee opening and closing procedures. Oversee cash handling procedures. Assist with payroll duties. Manage and motivate team members to increase sales. Handle and resolve staff inquiries and concerns as needed. Provide back-up support to Concierge team including coaching, guidance, and assistance in achieving success in respective roles. Handle and create schedules for Concierge. Participate in and communicate the monthly spa marketing promotions. Promote and sell new spa memberships. Promote all hotel and spa packages. Handle and resolve guest issues and complaints. Assist and coach the Concierge in dealing with guest inquiries. Schedule and confirm appointments, greet guests, provide tours, answer phones, and offer refreshments to guests. Direct clients/guests flow at the front desk and the check-in and check-out area. Responsible for escorting guests to appropriate service areas, locker room, massage area, salon, etc. Maintain quality control. Monitor spa to ensure standards are met. Assist vendor’s/service providers to ensure performance of services and treatments are in accordance with The Brownwood Spa standards and protocols. Assist in the development of the highest level of service to ensure The Brownwood Spa is a market leader. Responsible for attending hotel wide meetings and communicating relevant information to spa staff. Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment. Be flexible with own schedule, supporting the needs of the hotel and spa.
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Related experience is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job the associate is required to stand frequently up to 8 hours and operate a computer. Regularly required to talk and listen.
