OVERVIEW
The Spa Director at Boca West Country Club oversees the daily operations of the spa, ensuring an exceptional experience for our distinguished members. They lead a team of wellness professionals, manage spa services, oversee 23 treatment rooms, retail, a spa garden, relaxation lounges, and spa facility areas while upholding the club’s standards of excellence in member care, relaxation, and wellness.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Member Experience:
Provide personalized, attentive service to meet the unique needs of Boca West members, fostering a welcoming and relaxing environment. Develop good member relationships, positively promote the spa, and handle all inquiries and complaints as necessary.
Operational Management:
Oversee daily spa operations, including appointment scheduling, staff management, supplies, equipment, and facility management. Anticipate and monitor all products, supplies and materials needed, and order accordingly to ensure smooth operations. Ensure all equipment is kept in perfect working condition, and any deficiencies are reported to the proper department. Ensure that the spa facilities and staff’s licenses are all up to date. Develop and update as needed all operation manuals and SOPs for spa and develop training programs to ensure the growth of the department. Maintain an eye for detail and crispness when monitoring treatment rooms, facilities, lounges, retail, and reception areas for cleanliness and safety daily.
Staff Leadership:
interview, hire, train and supervise spa staff, promoting professional development and ensuring team performance aligns with club standards. Complete spa payroll on a bi-weekly basis. Complete punch edits and administrative needs. Monitor employee performance, and discipline as needed per Boca West standards. Conduct regular staff meetings, briefings, and training, and ensure effective communication throughout the spa team.
Service & Program Development:
Design and implement spa treatments, wellness programs, and special events that enhance member satisfaction and engagement.
Financial Oversight:
Manage budgets, pricing strategies, and inventory to ensure profitability while maintaining superior quality.
Vendor Relations and Retail:
Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to offer the most innovative services and product offerings to our members. Manage all retail needs including ordering, pricing, inventory, display needs, training, sales, trunk shows, monitoring of expiration dates, etc. Work with finance on all admin needs associated.
Department MOD and Communication:
Assist as Manager on Duty, as scheduled, for the Lifestyle & Wellness areas. Communicate effectively within the department management team, and interdepartmentally to ensure a supporting team of professionals.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure all procedures comply with health, safety, and licensing requirements. Understand and implement emergency response procedures and respond properly in any emergency to ensure staff and member safety.
Member Engagement:
Actively seek feedback, address concerns promptly, and build strong relationships with members to foster loyalty and satisfaction.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and
TRAINING
- Must possess a minimum of Massage Therapy or Esthetician License, preferably from the state of Florida.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Minimum of 5 years of upper-level management experience in a luxury spa.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience in spa management, preferably within luxury or country club environments.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of current wellness trends and treatments.
- Ability to maintain discretion and uphold confidentiality.
- Certification in massage therapy, esthetics, or related fields.

- Spa Operating Hours are currently 9:00am
- 7:00pm Monday through Thursday and 9:00am
- 6:00pm Friday through Sunday (these hours fluctuate for events and over the holiday period and may change at any time).
