Job Overview:
The Spa Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel spa, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high standards of service. This role involves managing staff, scheduling appointments, maintaining inventory, and promoting spa services.
Responsibilities:
Staff Management:
o Hire, train, and supervise spa staff, including therapists, receptionists, and other relevant personnel. o Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to improve staff performance. o Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage. o Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts promptly.
Guest Experience:
o Greet and welcome guests to the spa in a warm and professional manner. o Assist guests with booking appointments, answering questions, and providing information about spa services and products. o Resolve guest complaints and issues in a timely and effective manner. o Ensure a clean, relaxing, and inviting spa environment.
Operations:
o Oversee the daily operations of the spa, including scheduling appointments, managing inventory, and maintaining equipment. o Monitor and control expenses to maintain profitability. o Implement and maintain spa policies and procedures. o Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Sales and Marketing:
o Promote spa services and retail products to increase revenue. o Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new clients. o Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Qualifications:
. Proven experience as a Spa Supervisor or similar role. . Strong leadership and management skills. . Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. . Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred. One of the following licenses or certifications preferred: LMT, Aesthetician, Personal Trainer. One to three years’ leadership experience in a Wellness, Health Club, Fitness Club, or Spa environment, with minimum of one year supervisory experience required. Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office. Club management system software or other retail or database software a plus. Knowledge of professional spa services and treatments preferred. Knowledge of retail operations and inventory systems required. Must possess basic computational ability as well as budgetary analysis. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, portions, and percentages.
