Position Summary:
We are seeking a Spa and Wellness Manager to oversee all aspects of spa operations and wellness programming at a luxury resort property. This full-time, year-round position is ideal for a licensed professional who excels in team leadership, guest experience, and wellness strategy. The Spa and Wellness Manager is responsible for staff management, program development, and delivering an elevated wellness experience to both leisure and group guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee spa operations, staff scheduling, and guest appointment management Develop year-round and seasonal wellness programs, including retreats and workshops Lead and train staff on services, products, and retail sales goals Manage spa inventory, vendor orders, and equipment maintenance Collaborate with culinary team on wellness-focused food offerings Recruit, interview, hire, and manage spa employees Monitor guest satisfaction, respond to feedback, and ensure luxury service standards Prepare and manage departmental budgets, payroll, and financial reporting Ensure compliance with all health, hygiene, and safety regulations Track staff certifications and credentials Participate in regular departmental meetings and industry-related education Maintain and update client databases Recommend ideas to improve spa performance and guest experience Perform other duties as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required, bachelor’s degree preferred NYS License in massage therapy or facial treatments required 1-3 years of supervisory experience in spa or wellness management Background in budgeting, scheduling, and staff development Experience in creating or implementing wellness programs preferred Must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work
