This role is responsible for modifying existing garments according to specifications, including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, shortening sleeves, adjusting waistlines, and performing other sewing-related alterations. The ideal candidate has strong technical sewing skills and experience working with a variety of garment types and fabrics. This is a back-of-house position with no customer-facing responsibilities; all garments are pre-tagged and pre-measured by front-of-house staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform precise alterations on men’s garments Dress hem, jean hem, cuff, taper Take in or let out seams to adjust fit Shorten or lengthen garments as needed Maintain clean, accurate stitching using industrial sewing equipment Press garments after alteration to ensure a finished appearance Follow garment tags and instruction notes for specific alterations Maintain an organized and clean sewing workspace Ensure all work is completed to quality standards and within deadlines

Qualifications:

Proven experience with garment alterations and industrial sewing machines Strong knowledge of fabric types, garment construction, and fitting techniques High attention to detail and craftsmanship Ability to work independently and manage a consistent workflow Reliable and punctual with strong time management skills

8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday No nights Weekends as needed
