20th Street West, Bradenton, FL 34205 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented seamstress/Tailor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion and a strong background in garment construction. As a Tailor, you will be responsible for altering, repairing, and customizing garments to meet our customers’ needs, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Duties Perform alterations on various types of garments, including dresses, suits, and casual wear. Public Safety Uniforms Utilize sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques to execute precise alterations. Consult with customers to understand their specific requirements and provide expert advice on garment modifications. Measure clients accurately to ensure proper fit and comfort. Conduct repairs on damaged clothing items, including patching holes and replacing zippers. Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are readily available. Stay updated on current fashion trends and techniques in garment construction. Experience Proven experience in tailoring or a related field is preferred. Proficiency in operating sewing machines and using various sewing tools. Strong understanding of garment construction techniques and fabric types. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to alterations. Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and understand their needs. Previous experience in fashion retail is a plus but not mandatory.
