In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality alterations and tailoring services to our customers, ensuring their garments fit perfectly and meet their specific needs. You will work closely with staff to understand customer requirements. Responsibilities Perform alterations on a variety of garments, including suits, sports coats, dress shirts, dress hems, jean hems and casual wear, ensuring precision and quality. Consult with staff to assess their alteration needs and provide recommendations based on garment construction and fit. Utilize sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques to execute alterations accurately. Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring that all tools and materials are readily available for efficient workflow. Keep track of customer orders and timelines to ensure timely completion of alterations. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction with the final product. Stay updated on fashion trends and garment construction techniques to enhance skills and service offerings. Requirements Proficiency in sewing techniques, including the ability to operate sewing machines effectively. Basic math skills for measurements and adjustments. Previous experience in fashion retail or garment construction is preferred but not mandatory. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
