This role involves providing high-quality alterations and tailoring services specifically for military uniforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in garment construction and sewing, along with excellent customer service skills to ensure client satisfaction. Duties Perform alterations on military uniforms, including adjustments for fit and style. Utilize sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques to complete alterations efficiently. Assess garments for necessary modifications and provide recommendations to clients. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are readily available. Communicate effectively with customers to understand their alteration needs and preferences. Keep accurate records of alterations performed and manage inventory of fabrics and supplies. Qualifications Previous experience in fashion retail or garment alteration is preferred. Strong knowledge of garment construction techniques. Proficiency in using sewing machines as well as hand-sewing skills. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to alterations. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
