The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in garment construction and sewing techniques, with a passion for fashion and customer service. As a Tailor, you will be responsible for altering and repairing garments to meet the specific needs of our clients, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Perform alterations on various types of garments, including dresses, suits, and casual wear. Utilize sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques to execute precise alterations. Assess the fit of garments on clients and recommend necessary adjustments. Maintain an organized workspace and ensure all tools and materials are properly stored. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their needs and preferences. Keep up-to-date with fashion trends to provide informed suggestions to customers. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects. Requirements Proficiency in operating sewing machines and using various sewing tools. Strong understanding of garment construction techniques and fabric types. Basic math skills for measuring and calculating fabric requirements accurately. Previous experience in fashion retail or tailoring is preferred but not mandatory. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
