The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating beautiful, functional furniture pieces. This role involves working with various materials to cover and restore furniture, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. Duties Measure and cut fabric or leather to fit specific furniture pieces. Assemble and disassemble furniture as needed for reupholstering. Apply padding, springs, and other materials to enhance comfort and durability. Sew fabric or leather using industrial sewing machines or hand-stitching techniques. Ensure all work meets quality standards and adheres to design specifications. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and customer expectations. Requirements Proven experience as a Tapicero or in a similar upholstery role is preferred. Strong knowledge of various upholstery techniques and materials. Ability to use sewing machines, staple guns, and other upholstery tools effectively. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship. Good physical stamina, as the role requires standing for long periods and lifting heavy materials. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A creative mindset with an appreciation for design aesthetics is a plus.
