The ideal candidate will have a passion for craftsmanship and a keen eye for detail, ensuring high-quality finishes on all projects. This role requires proficiency in various sewing techniques and the ability to work with different materials while utilizing both hand tools and power tools effectively. Responsibilities Measure, cut, and sew fabric according to specifications for upholstery projects. Fabricate and assemble components of furniture or automotive interiors using hand tools and power tools. Restore or repair existing upholstery by removing old fabric, padding, and springs as necessary. Ensure all work meets quality standards and is completed within project timelines. Collaborate with team members to discuss project requirements and design specifications. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to enhance skills and improve craftsmanship. Qualifications Proven experience as an Upholsterer or in a similar role is preferred. Proficiency in using sewing machines, hand tools, and power tools relevant to upholstery work. Strong skills in sewing, fabricating, assembling, and auto restoration techniques are highly desirable. Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and clients.
