Wood Finisher (Sanding & Staining) Iron Age Office 3130 Moon Station Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144 Wood Finisher (Sanding & Staining) Iron Age Office, a butcher block and carbon steel custom, commercial office furniture manufacture conveniently located in Kennesaw, is looking for an ambitious wood worker to join our fast-growing company. Apply today to become a part of team Iron Age. Create beautiful and skillfully crafted pieces of furniture. Works under general supervision to prepare furniture for finishes and assembly using sanding equipment. Performs high quality repairs to various unfinished surfaces in the shop. Cleans and polishes blemishes as needed to prepare wood for staining. Applies finish to furniture using spray equipment and other manual/mechanical methods. Uses various types of sandpapers, polishes, adhesives, masking mediums, solvents, finish materials, hand tools and various power tools to finish furniture. Complies with all safety, and housekeeping policies. Uses personal protective equipment. Works with lead and higher skilled technicians to develop and implement process improvements that increase safety and quality. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs. Perform other duties as assigned. Follow company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
