The Upholstery Technician I is an entry-level position responsible for fabricating and installing upholstery, cover panels, and making simple patterns for aircraft interiors. Under moderate supervision, the individual will work with design and engineering drawings, along with aircraft specifications, to ensure high-quality interior installations. This role provides opportunities for hands-on training and skill development in the upholstery and carpet trades within the aerospace industry.

Essential Functions:

Perform technical upholstery functions within design, customer, FAA, and Company specifications. Specific installation and trim tasks are to bepleted inpliance with work order instructions and specifications.
Fit panels and windows, cabin head liners, upper sidewalls, lower side panels, hatch panels, windows, cut and surge carpets, cover bulkheads, fabricate various metal parts, and covering and installation of panels.
Create carpet patterns per design drawings andplete installation. .
Use the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks and to sign-off work.

Other Requirements:

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand proficiently the English language.
Ability to read and interpret blues and engineering documentation.
Ability to use measuring tools and perform basic mathputations.
Must beputer literate.
Able to climb ladders and stairs, work in small restricted areas, lift up to 40 pounds and work any shift.

Education and Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience usingmercial sewing machines, sergers andor various hand tools used in upholstery and carpet trades is preferred.

Pay Details:

$23.32 per hour
