Upholstery Technician

Job Description:

Hourly Rates $35-$40 Depending on Experience

Duties and Responsibilities Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings, and production procedures to determine measurements and installation procedures.
Measures and marks installation areas in aircraft interior, using measuring and marking instruments and templates
Fits and installs items in aircraft, using hand tools, power tools, and fasteners, such as screws, rivets bolts, and speed nuts.

Requirements:

Will need to conduct sewing test prior to hire
Leather sewing and piping experience required
Must have a basic set of tools
Must have sewing experience
Ability to work with protective coverings and tapes such as TEDLAR
Ability to organize and plan work adhering to deadlines.
Ability to read, write, and understand the English language and to follow verbal and written instruction
Ability to interpret and apply technical data relating to position

Education/Training:

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Post-secondary education or training in aircraft maintenance or equivalent combination of education, training or experience required.

Experience:

Five years’ experience in aircraft interior maintenance preferred
VIP interiors Experience preferred
