ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sanding and preparing furniture and other surfaces for painting. Mixing and preparing paint colors and stains according to customer specifications. Applying paint, varnish, shellac, and other finishes to furniture and other surfaces. Repairing furniture components such as drawers and doors. Troubleshooting and repairing painting equipment. Moving furnishings, equipment and other obstacles to complete paint jobs, as needed. Performing journey level painting of interior and exterior surfaces for protection and decoration by patching, texturing, priming, sanding and/or caulking. Compliance with all OSHA regulations Follow all safety rules and report any unsafe conditions Properly use any personal protection equipment (PPE)
