Full Job Description Description:

As an Entry-Level Bulkhead Technician, you will assist in the installation and assembly of bulkheads in boat hulls according to specifications. You will work under the guidance of senior technicians and supervisors to ensure the quality and integrity of bulkhead installations. Assist senior bulkhead technicians in the assembly and installation of bulkheads in boat hulls, following engineering drawings and specifications. Prepare boat hulls for bulkhead installation, including cleaning, sanding, and applying adhesives or sealants as needed. Position and align bulkhead components in boat hulls, ensuring proper fit and alignment according to specifications. Secure bulkheads in place using fasteners, adhesives, or welding techniques, ensuring structural integrity and watertight seals. Inspect bulkhead installations for defects and quality issues, reporting any discrepancies to senior technicians or supervisors. Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards for quality, safety, and productivity. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge of bulkhead installation techniques. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes, improve efficiency, and meet production goals and deadlines. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager to support the overall goals and objectives of the company.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in boat manufacturing or a related field is preferred. No prior experience required; willingness to learn and ability to follow instructions is essential. Basic understanding of boat construction principles and techniques is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow directions from supervisors and senior technicians. Physical stamina and dexterity to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects as needed. Positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic, with a willingness to learn and grow in the role.
