Job Impulse, Inc. has an opening for a Fab Shop in Wellford, SC . Our client is a Tool Making Company . The Fab Shop is responsible for: The Fab Shop Assistant supports daily operations within the fabrication shop, assisting with the preparation, cutting, shaping, and assembly of materials used in the production of metal or other fabricated products. This role involves using various tools and machines, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and ensuring that materials are properly handled and prepared for production. Also, set up and operate all machines in Fab Shop to produce all parts needed for specs. 1st Shift 5am-2pm Monday-Thursday 5am-11am Fridays Responsibilities of a Fab Shop includes :

Material Handling:

Assist in the receipt, storage, and inventory management of materials, ensuring proper organization and accessibility for fabrication.

Tool and Equipment Operation:

Use hand tools, power tools, saws, drills, grinders, and other equipment to prepare materials for fabrication or assembly.

Assembly Support:

Assist skilled workers in assembling metal parts or products according to blueprints, drawings, or specifications.

Machine Maintenance:

Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of tools, machines, and work areas to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Cutting and Shaping Materials:

Assist with cutting, bending, welding, or shaping materials using various fabrication techniques, under the guidance of senior fabricators or supervisors.

Safety Compliance:

Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment. Report hazards or unsafe conditions promptly.

Quality Control:

Inspect materials and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards, report any defects or issues to the supervisor.

Documentation:

Assist in keeping accurate records of materials used, inventory levels, and job progress, as directed by supervisors. Job Requirements of a

Fab Shop:

Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs or more as required. Manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment safely.

REQUIRED

Experience and Education:

Experience using Saws and Press Brakes is a plus. High School Diploma or GED required
