About the Role This is a great opportunity for a veterinary assistant with 1+ years of experience and experience in assisting with surgery. We are open Monday through Friday, we offer a 4-day work week with an occasional weekend on-call rotation (about once every couple of months). Key Responsibilities As a Veterinary Assistant, you will: Assist veterinarians in appointments, outpatient care, and surgical procedures. Obtain and record patient histories. Communicate with pet owners about procedures, treatments, and preventative care recommendations. Collect blood, fecals, and urine samples. Prep patients, instruments, and equipment for surgery. Monitor patients during and after procedures. Take radiographs and perform basic lab tests. Clean and sterilize equipment, instruments, and materials. Work collaboratively with the team to maintain a smooth workflow. Input charges into the Avimark software system. What We’re Looking For 1+ years of experience as a veterinary assistant is a requirement. Experience in surgery is required. A team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and shares our commitment to exceptional patient care. Strong communication and organizational skills. A passion for learning and a willingness to grow professionally.
