We are looking for a candidate who possess the ability to work cooperatively with others. Must have a strong work ethic and positive attitude. Job requirements include assisting doctors in exam rooms, running bloodwork on in-house Heska laboratory equipment, dentals, blood draws, cytology, IV catheter placement, fecal analysis, laser therapy, assisting in surgery, digital radiographs. Experience with Avimark practice management software is a plus. Must have excellent communication skills. Must be willing to work some weekends and holidays. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures. Perform laboratory tests including blood work and urinalysis. Provide animal restraint during examinations and treatments. Handle dogs and cats safely and effectively. Maintain cleanliness of the clinic, including surgical areas, exam rooms, and waiting areas. Prepare animals for surgery, including administering anesthesia as directed by the veterinarian. Assist with pet grooming tasks as needed. Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and training techniques. Document patient information accurately in medical records. Requirements Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred but not required. Knowledge of animal physiology and basic veterinary terminology is advantageous. Skills in dog and cat handling, animal restraint are highly desirable. Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is a plus. Experience with X-Ray equipment or animal catheterization is beneficial. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
