The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for animal care and welfare, along with the ability to support veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing high-quality medical care to our patients. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic and the well-being of our furry clients. Duties Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures. Handle and restrain animals safely and effectively to ensure their comfort and safety. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including examination rooms, kennels, and surgical areas. Prepare animals for surgery by ensuring proper aseptic technique is followed. Administer medications as directed by veterinarians or veterinary technicians. Monitor animal behavior and health status, reporting any changes to the veterinary staff. Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their pets’ care needs. Maintain accurate records of treatments, medications, and procedures performed on each animal. Skills Knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal anatomy is essential. Experience in a veterinary clinic or similar environment is preferred. Proficiency in animal handling techniques, including restraint methods for various species. Familiarity with aseptic techniques used in surgical settings.
