Veterinary Assistant Animal Health Center, Marion Marion, AR 72364 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support veterinarians in providing high-quality care to animals, ensuring their well-being and comfort. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures, providing necessary tools and support. Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and treatments. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including kennels and treatment areas. Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian, ensuring accurate dosages. Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any changes or concerns to the veterinary team. Prepare animals for surgery, including aseptic technique practices. Provide post-operative care and instructions to pet owners. Assist with client communication, answering questions about pet care and services offered.
