The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong desire to support our veterinary staff in providing exceptional service to our patients. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and well-being of animals while assisting with various clinical tasks. Duties Assist veterinarians in the examination and treatment of animals. Perform animal handling and restraint during examinations and procedures. Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and organization. Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian. Assist with laboratory tasks, including sample collection and processing. Help with animal catheterization when necessary. Maintain accurate medical records for each patient visit. Operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines under supervision. Provide compassionate care to animals, ensuring their comfort during visits. Experience Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology is beneficial. Skills in pet grooming, animal catheterization, and laboratory procedures are highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members.
