In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care for animals in our facility. You will assist with daily operations, ensuring that all pets receive the attention and care they need while maintaining a clean and safe environment. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about animal welfare and looking to gain experience in a veterinary or animal care setting. Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, bathing, and exercising. Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas by performing regular cleaning and sanitization. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff. Assist with medication administration as directed by veterinary professionals. Handle dogs and cats safely and effectively, ensuring their comfort and safety. Support veterinary staff by helping clean and stock exam rooms and treatment areas, basic restraint of animals for nail trims, anal glad expressions and injections Maintain accurate records of health observations. Assist in running in house laboratory (training will be given), ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Qualifications Previous experience in animal care or a related field is preferred but not required. Knowledge of animal physiology and behavior is beneficial. Familiarity with veterinary care practices is a plus. Strong skills in dog and cat handling and pet care are essential. Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with staff and pet owners. Willingness to learn new skills related to animal care and veterinary practices.
