Veterinary Assistant – Join Our Compassionate, Specialty Team! We’re looking for a compassionate and dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our growing hospital and help us deliver exceptional care to both patients and clients. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside a board-certified cardiologist and a skilled, supportive team in a fast-paced, specialty practice environment. In this role, you’ll provide hands-on support during appointments, procedures, and daily operations. You’ll assist with technical tasks, patient care, medical recordkeeping, and client communication—playing an essential role in ensuring the efficiency and success of our hospital. Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities Provide compassionate, professional care to clients and their pets Prepare and maintain exam rooms and treatment areas to ensure cleanliness and readiness Accurately triage patients, collect physical histories, and take doppler blood pressure readings Prepare/dispense physical medications and/or written prescriptions Perform venipuncture, radiographs, electrocardiograms, and holter monitor placement/removal Assist with interventional procedures Ensure proper medical recordkeeping and documentation of patient care/client communications Communicate effectively with clients regarding discharge instructions, medication administration, and follow-up care Perform Client Service Representative tasks and responsibilites Handle high volume of phone calls, emails, and faxes Relay pertinent information/messages to doctor and other techinical staff Maintain client invoices and collect payments Troubleshoot and maintain office and medical equipment Effectively communicate with partner hospitals and other pcDVM’s Perform other duties as assigned to support overall hospital operations Skills & Attributes Genuinely enjoys working with animals and their owners, even in high-stress situations Calm, composed, and efficient in medical emergencies and fast-paced settings Strong problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and multitasking abilities Excellent verbal and written communication; accurate with grammar and spelling Detail-oriented and highly organized, with good computer skills Adaptable and flexible with changing priorities and work environments Self-directed with the ability to work independently or as part of a team Strong sense of teamwork and professionalism in all interactions Comfortable with Clients Service Representative tasks Work Schedule 4-day work week with 10-hour shifts. No weekends. Flexibility with work hours.
