In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to animals in a kennel environment. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of the pets in our care while maintaining a clean and organized facility. Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising. Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to ensure a safe environment. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff. Assist with animal restraint during examinations or treatments as needed. Handle dogs and other animals safely, ensuring their comfort and security. Support pet owners by answering questions and providing information about services. Assist with administrative tasks such as record keeping and scheduling appointments. Participate in training sessions for dog handling and behavior management. Experience Previous experience in animal care or handling is preferred but not required. Skills in animal restraint and handling are highly desirable. Experience as a veterinary assistant or veterinary technician is a plus. Familiarity with dog training techniques is beneficial. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for animal care tasks.
