In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians and veterinary technicians in delivering high-quality care to animals. Your responsibilities will include assisting with medical procedures, administering medications, and ensuring a safe and clean environment for both patients and staff. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures. Administer medications as directed by the veterinary team. Provide basic animal care including feeding, bathing, and grooming. Monitor animal health and report any changes or concerns to the veterinary staff. Prepare animals for surgery, including catheterization when necessary. Maintain cleanliness of the clinic by cleaning cages, examination rooms, and surgical areas. Handle front desk duties such as scheduling appointments and greeting clients. Educate pet owners on proper animal care and post-treatment instructions. Skills Proficient in medication administration and understanding of veterinary protocols. Experience in a veterinary clinic setting is preferred. Knowledge of veterinary critical care practices is a plus. Strong background in animal care with an understanding of animal anatomy and physiology. Familiarity with animal catheterization techniques is advantageous. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members. Previous experience as a veterinary technician or assistant is beneficial but not required.
