Are you an enthusiastic and compassionate veterinary nurse looking to make a real difference in the lives of pets and their families? We are opening a new veterinary urgent care practice in beautiful Port St. Lucie, Florida, and we’re looking for a dedicated Certified Veterinary Technician or experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our growing team! At FastTrack Vet, we pride ourselves on providing the highest quality urgent care services to pets in need. ultrasound machine, digital radiography, a Tono-vet, multi-monitor/capnography, anesthesia, etc!
Position Overview:
The CVTs will play a key role in delivering high-quality care to animals in urgent need of attention. This is a hands-on position with endless opportunities to utilize your advanced skills in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. As part of the veterinary care team, you will assist in the delivery of urgent and emergency medicine (without the drag of overnight shifts!), perform medical procedures, and provide critical support to veterinarians and clients alike. If you are a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated veterinary nurse looking for an exciting challenge in a newly established urgent care practice, we want to hear from you! Your schedule will be built around three 12-hour day-time shifts per week with the option for unlimited time off. We want you to prioritize your work-life balance! The urgent care environment provides you the ability to help patients in need without the risk of burn-out.
- Full-time or part-time positions will be considered
- Those with exceptional experience can be considered for Lead Nurse title or Shift Lead title.
- Position will not start until the end of August-early September 2025.

Requirements:
Ability to work some evenings and weekends Certified Veterinary Technician in the state of Florida preferred, but not required. A minimum of 2 years of veterinary technician experience, with a preference for those with urgent care or emergency experience. Proficiency in using veterinary equipment, including digital radiographs, ultrasound, IDEXX lab analyzers, etc. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients, team members, and veterinarians. Compassionate and empathetic approach to animal care. Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. A positive, team-oriented attitude and commitment to providing excellent patient care. Fear Free certification or similar experience in reducing stress in pets. Utilize veterinary terminology and knowledge of animal physiology in daily tasks. Maintain accurate medical records and communicate effectively with pet owners. Ensure a clean and safe environment for both animals and staff.
