About Us:

We are part of a family of local brands that are locally family owned – Lucy’s Veterinary Care, Lucy’s Pet Grooming (mobile grooming), and Best Little Dog House in Georgia (daycare, boarding, and grooming). We are pet-centered and focus on minimizing stress to pets within our care and care about the health of pets in our care. This is not a high volume churn and burn corporate owned veterinary clinic.

Job Description:

We are looking for someone who is ” good people ” and is passionate about providing top quality care for pets in their care. Many of our customers are friends and neighbors of the owners and we genuinely care about the pets entrusted to us. This is a family . You are experienced in veterinary assistant duties but more than anything are a great communicator and teammate.

Responsibilities:

Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures. Provide compassionate care to all patients. Perform routine laboratory tests and prepare samples for analysis. Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian. Monitor and record vital signs of patients. Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized clinic environment. Manage patient records. Check out customers including taking payments. Educate pet owners on general pet care, nutrition, and post-treatment care. Handle and restrain animals safely and humanely. Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is preferred. Strong passion for animal welfare and a desire to make a difference. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well in a team and independently. Basic knowledge of animal behavior and handling. Physical stamina to handle and restrain animals, and perform various tasks throughout the day. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Satisfactory background check and drug screening required

Full-time, Part-time Pay:

$15.00 – $18.00 per hour
